Embed Editor License

Every License

• Developers are unlimited, always. The users of your product may pay for it or not.
• The editor ships inside your product. Nobody may resell it or distribute it on its own. Taking it to the customers of a platform, for their own products, is the Full OEM plan.

What Each Plan Covers

Each paid plan covers the projects below. A project is a product: a website, with its subdomains and test environments, or an app.

• Lite: unlimited projects, for one person or company, with the Adjust tools only.
• Full Personal: the Full, with every tool, for one product of your own and one person (an individual or a one-person company). Never a product for a client: a freelancer who builds a client's site needs Full, because the product is the client's.
• Full: one project, with every tool.
• Full Unlimited: unlimited projects for one company, its own and the ones it builds for clients, with every tool. The clients keep using the version delivered to them; an update after the company's 12 months needs its renewal or a license of the client's own. It does not cover a platform that hands the editor to its customers for their own products: that is Full OEM.
• Full OEM: a platform whose customers use the editor in their own products, such as a site builder, an online store platform, a CMS where each subscriber has a site, or a white-label app sold to many clients. It covers use by every subscriber of the platform, with no count and no mention of Embed Editor to them, and includes priority support. It does not cover selling the editor on its own, as an SDK or a standalone component, or using it to build a competing editor. Its price starts at $9,999 a year, in US dollars; a larger platform contract is set in writing.

Use, Updates and Support

• Use is perpetual for every version you received.
• Each payment includes 12 months of updates and support. The subscription renews automatically at the same price and adds 12 more months.
• If you cancel, you keep using the last version you received, and every version released until your updates ended stays installable.
• The editor never stops working on your site: there is no license check in the browser, no domain lock and no call to our servers. When updates end, only new versions and support stop.
• Moving from Lite or Full Personal to Full, or from Full to Full Unlimited, costs the difference.
• When a Full OEM license ends, the version delivered keeps working for the platform's subscribers.

Free

Free license, commercial use included, on one condition: the Embed Editor badge stays visible and unaltered. Removing, hiding or covering it infringes the license.

The badge is the small "embededitor.com" in the corner of the editor's menu. If it is removed, hidden or covered, by a cookie bar or a chat button of your page for example, the images the editor exports with Save, Copy or Share carry an embededitor.com watermark across the whole photo.

Free gets its updates through npm, with no individual support.

Trial

Evaluation license, for trials and demos, not for production, on one condition: the Embed Editor badge stays visible and unaltered. Removing, hiding or covering it infringes the license.

Trial is the whole editor with the embededitor.com badge, for companies evaluating Embed Editor and for our own demos, the editor on this site included. It installs only from our private registry, with a key for each company, revoked when the trial ends.
